I haven't been to this particular location, but I've liked Panera Bread since my mother-in-law introduced me to it back in '04 in Indiana. It's a chain, but it's good. I've always liked the atmosphere, and whomever comes up with the sandwiches does a good job mixing the flavors. Worth checking out.

Good sandwich place. I had a really good grilled sandwich. My kids enjoyed their PB&J and turkey sandwich. It's kind of crowded and chaotic, but a good place to go for a quick lunch.

I work in Briargate & I stop in here at least once a week to grab breakfast. For some reason, the Asiago Bacon Egg Sandwich just tastes better here than at any other location. It's always steadily busy, but prior to 8:30, there's always plenty of parking & seating. The staff is really great. David is always friendly. Ben is a fantastic manager, as he'll always stop to chat and remembers minute details about people. Lots of good people working here.

This is a really good place. Even though we had some problems with finding a place to sit (it was a Sunday afternoon - right around lunchtime) we thankfully found one and enjoyed our food. I got mad because I thought the staff had given me the wrong food but turns out I ordered the wrong thing. Oops. The food is great - doesn't take long to come out. It can be a bit pricey though. Their soups and sandwiches are amazing. I haven't tried the bakery yet though.

Panera Bread is a great place to get clean food with good options. The bread is so good. This location is in the outdoor mall...the Promenade Shoppes. Good place to go after a hard workout!

We did take-out from this place and you know it is fine. It isn't anything wonderful, but a walk across the street close by so what the heck. Close by and you can get something healthy like the Kale salad. They put a nice piece of bread in that was good, but overall this is average, which is not a bad thing

Very nice location. Friendly employees. Great food. Got the Steak, bleu cheese salad. It was very, very delicious!!

Been wanting to try one of their new broth bowls for a while now and finally got the chance. I went for the soba noodle bowl with chicken. The soy-miso broth is very flavorful and the other elements were nice. I wish it had a tad more broth, though. I also got a green tea, which was great. The service is also fantastic at this location.

I love the bread and bagels and good in general at Panera. But what makes this Panera great is the staff. They are very friendly, very fast, and very attentive to customers need. They go above and beyond! I highly recommend this location!

A Panera Bread is a Panera Bread...not much changes but the menu when you've found something you really like, you go back a week later and POOF...it's gone! I guess maybe it's the seasonal swap? Grabbed an Asian Chicken Salad and a Pick 2. Surprisingly it was made and ready to take out faster than any time I've gone in and sat down to eat. It's something quick and although a chain and probably loaded with calories...today I just felt like having something easy...hmm maybe it's the weathers fault!

Ridiculously busy but this place moves at a fast pace so we didn't have to wait too long. I stopped by the bakery ahead of the line to ask for their allergen sheet. Happy to say there's only 2 breads that have eggs, so I have my pick of sandwiches. The French onion soup was delicious and the smokehouse Turkey sandwich was tangy and nicely put together. I was impressed that they had put any care at all on to the appearance of our food considering how busy it was. Of course, we had decided to come during lunch rush. The staff was super friendly and smiling and there is plenty of seating to accommodate the huge rush. Lovely closed in porch seating is quieter than inside.

Had a few issues with the staff. Had an opportunity to fill out a survey, they totally called, heard my complaint and rectified my bad experience with a gift card. The bakery is delicious. The new broth bowls are great. I only go alone however, it gets pretty pricy to bring along the whole family.

My son said the Mac and Cheese is 5 stars, but it comes at a 10 star price. Eight bucks for M& C is way too much. My 1/2 sandwhich and salad was tasty , but again ten bucks! Had to go back to counter for butter knife and was told out of metal, and would give me plastic. Not sure why they did not put plastic knife in the first place. Hard to butter your bread with a fork.

Got a chicken avocado cobb salad and it was pretty sad, especially for $9. Lettuce was poorly chopped and wilting. Chicken was dry. Avocado was meagerly portioned. The only good points were the bacon and the dressing. The dressing was actually very tasty. Overall I felt it was a rip off.

So, I am not going to tell you what you already know. The briargate is pretty much standard issue panera. So why am I writing? Becuase this place has the best customer service and attitude of any panera in town. I stop in here about once or twice a month for breakfast and the occasionaly lunch and yes, its busy and yes its crowded. most restaurants tend to be at lunch. We get our stuff catered from here occasionally and they always get it right and are accomodating on short notice. you might think that is standard practice, but not at every panera.

This location is very busy and not a lot of seating available. Most of the time they have great customer service but today they forgot my pickle :( Powers location is defiantly the spot for Panera. Easy to get in and out of even when there is a long line.

We stopped into Panera this past week for lunch. It was a rainy day and soup sounded great. Evidentially, half of the Colorado Springs thought so too because this place was PACKED. The line was almost to the door- and we arrived at 1PM. I snuck to the front to see what soups were available- and there were only 4. Neither of my must have soups were listed. I asked a manager if they had broccoli cheese soup and she told me they had run out and were heating more up. She said it should be ready in 10 minutes. 25 minutes later, I went up to order and it was still not ready. I asked how long it would be and explained that I had been told it would be 10 minutes and had already been 25. The gal taking my order went to check on it. She came back and told me the soup was frozen solid and it would be at least an hour. I was disappointed because the other soups that were available (at that point they had run out of another soup too)- weren't soups I liked. I proceeded to order a sandwich, drink and cookie. Another manager standing next to the cashier insisted on comping my whole meal because they were out of what I came for- and because I had been waiting so long already. It was totally a surprise to me that they would offer to do this- and honestly, as a loyal Panera customer, it reaffirmed one of the things I love about Panera. Outstanding customer service. :)

Number compliment... food is great. Number one compliant... food portions have gotten smaller since the economy went south. Portions, bread side dish, pastries... Yet their public stock offering goes up....hmmmm

Panera Bread is one of my favorite places to go with my wife. We've been to all of the locations in town many, many times and I try to stay away from this one as much as possible. Because it's in Shops at Briargate, there's always a huge rush--just about any time of day. At this location, you'll almost never find an available seat. If, in fact you're lucky enough to find a vacant table, the odds are 100% that it won't be near an outlet to plug in your laptop. On top of all that, this location *severely* restricts their "free wif-fi"--so much so that they completely turn it off during lunch. At other times of day, you can only get online for something like half an hour, then you get booted off for the rest of the day. I've spoken to them about it, and they basically said "we have to do that to help with our traffic flow." I understand. It's not necessarily their fault, especially when they're right next to the Apple Store where people have laptops, iPads and iPods that they've just bought and want to try out. Just be aware of it. Panera Bread is awesome, but this place packs you in like Sardines.

It's Panera Bread so you cannot go wrong. The Panera at Briargate has a good atmosphere and very friendly service. The portions have definitely gotten smaller and the prices have gone up, so expect to pay for a high price for a quick meal. Overall this Panera Bread is delicious with a good environment and great staff!

I stopped in a week before Christmas to grab coffee. Their bold coffee was horribly weak...like water. What's worse is while I was sipping my watered-down coffee, I watch a manager come out and wipe down the coffee bar, then wipe the floor, then wipe tables. Disgusting. Not going back there again.

Typical "chain" sandwich shop on the outside, however, food is cooked to order, fresh & tasty. Good soups & fresh salads, so some healthy alternatives. A bit crowed & noisy at lunch time. If you want a more relaxing atmosphere, come before or after typical "lunch time" or "dinner time" -- almost like a different place. Really nice pastries, good coffee too. Very friendly staff also and spotless restrooms. Good value for $. 6/17/09 Update: I've been back now several times. This Panera continues to shine. My husband orders a different soup and sandwich each time and likes each one. So far everything we've ordered here has been good. The pastries are fresh. Friendly folks at the registers. Their cheese danishes with or without fruit topping are my fav so far.

I have enjoyed panera a lot in the past, but this location was awful.
